Si notano tra l'altro in alto sul vagone tag di: Manjar NSB, Pit1, Reig, Jety, e Wisk del ROME ZOO, BDB da Parigi, e Waeze RNS da Milano. On the upper part of the car you can read tags by: Manjar NSB, Pit1, Reig, Jety, and Wisk from the ROME ZOO, BDB from Paris, and Waeze RNS from Milano.

Vagone MR.503 della linea Lido dipinto nel 1995 da Manjar e Tekne NSB MFC. Lo stesso anno si aggiunse anche Stand MT2 TRV con un pezzo "Adam".
Nel 1996 Math NES era in visita da Amsterdam e colse l'occasione lasciando il suo nome sul lato sinistro dello stesso vagone. Nel 1997, Tuff e Joe TRV insieme a Jon ZTK ridipinsero lo stesso vagone. Nel 1998, Lady Noia e Lady Match dipinsero i loro nomi dove una volta c'erano il Joe ed il Jon ormai coperti, lasciando il Tuff intoccato.

In 1996, Math NES from Amsterdam was visiting Rome and left his name on the left side of the same car. In 1997, Tuff and Joe TRV together with Jon ZTK painted an end to end on the car. In 1998, Lady Noia and Lady Match painted their names over the Joe and Jon pieces that had been covered by then, leaving the Tuff piece untouched.

Il tag Jon in basso sul motore, dimenticato dal buff, conferma l'unicità del vagone.

Abbiamo notato nel passaggio pre (1992-2001) e post (2002-ad oggi) buff della linea B, oltre alle differenze di stile, come spesso curiosamente i vagoni richiamino le stesse persone o gli stessi colori. Mistico o casuale, lasciamo a voi l'interpretazione dello strano fenomeno.

The Jon tag on the motor under the car that was forgotten by the buff, confirms the subway car's uniqueness.

We have noticed how during the passage from the B-line's pre-buff era (1992-2001) to its post-buff era (from 2002 to date), apart from the difference in style, how the subway cars curiously always attract the same people or even  the same colors. Mystical or by chance, any interpretation of this strange phenomenon is left up to you.

Déjà Vu (Zedz INC)

1995, in Amsterdam I think the last trains were getting cleaned. I had a 'conditional' sentence and had to be extremely careful not to be mishap for other good reasons concerning GVB matters as well. I never did too many metro trains but I would go out every now and then. Now was the case if i got caught this period i would probably be confronted with previous shit with which I had gotten away...During this period word was born that in Roma it was ‘on’.. the subways as well as the commuter trains in Roma were getting smashed...Kraze from Rome was living in Amsterdam and through him we heard a lot about the Rome graffiti scene, besides that it seemed to be a great city for the weather and the food. I never really went to Italy before, and to go painting would be a good chance to get to see something of the country and culture too...I heard Sento had been visiting Rome and hooked up there with Delta, Sel and Set and when they came back and showed off some flicks it set off fire in my brain...

I definitely had to go there to see for myself and paint. I knew Kraze would be there for the holidays and I hooked up with him when he was there at the end of December 1995. He introduced me to his friends and gave me an introduction to the Italian life style as well. Together with Clint we painted a nice illegal neighbourhood wall. I remember it was a nice night, not cold at all for the time of the year, and it felt quite liberating to paint at the end of December just wearing a shirt...

The Metro situation in Roma was great, all trains on the blue line were getting covered with their first layers of pieces and buffing was at a minimum. Sitting at the station watching trains was a great activity. This is how it had been in Amsterdam 4 years earlier.. it started off in 1989 and from 1990 or 1991 trains were buffed less and less until it came to a total standstill. It was great to see a subway system that was getting covered. I remember when it happened in Amsterdam I could hardly believe it and so there it was again...graffiti covered trains...I was not the only foreigner making a crusade that week, coincidentally Milk arrived too. We hit it off visiting two yards on the first night, a window-down color wholecar with Nico (Bas), Milk, Bam5 and a connecting panel by Clint on the other car in the first yard, and after that silver pieces in the other yard...

Bam5, Milk, and Zedz end to end painted on New Year's Eve 95/96. This B-line subway car ran at least until the year 2000, aging considerably and completely filling up with numerous tags and throwups. "An MT2, TFP, INC Production!"

The second wholecar window down we did at "Capodanno" '95-'96 we were painting exactly at midnight...Personally I love to memorize special moments of the year with these kinds of -painting- actions, I treasure this a lot. Together with more personal impressions of visiting places for the first time, which I consider one of the best parts of painting. To hop a fence for the first time, step onto railroads, walk on the beams or on the tracks themselves trying your best to stay quiet on the stones of the layup and making your way through bushes, loading zones and backyards gives me a nice sense of awareness. Roma was filled with that, I came back with a lot of good memories. The train painting was good but also to get to know writers there and paint by myself scouting through the night...I visited Roma a couple of times after that and did get to paint there as well but I never again hit the subway...I don't know if it could get any better for me anyhow.

Déjà Vu

1995, ad Amsterdam stavano pulendo gli ultimi treni della metro. Ero in libertà condizionale e dovevo fare estremamente attenzione a non fare cazzate anche per altri motivi riguardanti la GVB (azienda dei trasporti). Non ho mai fatto tante metro ma ogni tanto uscivo a farne. Se mi avessero preso avrei dovuto pagare anche per altre cose alle quali ero riuscito a scampare... In quel periodo girava voce che Roma era in "fiamme"... sia le metro che i treni regionali venivano distrutti... Kraze di Roma viveva ad Amsterdam e tramite lui venimmo a sapere molto sulla scena di graffiti a Roma, oltre al fatto che sembrava fosse una gran città sia per il bel tempo che per il cibo. Non ero mai stato in Italia, e pensavo fosse una buona idea vedere il paese e la sua cultura... Avevo sentito che anche Sento era passato per Roma e lì aveva incontrato Delta, Sel e Set, che quando tornarono in Olanda mi fecero vedere delle foto che furono come una scintilla nella mia testa...

Dovevo per forza andare lì a vedere coi miei occhi e dipingere qualcosa. Sapevo che Kraze sarebbe stato lì per le feste e ci vedemmo lì alla fine del dicembre '95. Mi fece conoscere tutti i suoi amici e assaggiare lo stile di vita italiano. Dipingemmo un muro illegale nel quartiere insieme a Clint. Mi ricordo che era notte ma non faceva freddo per niente per quel periodo dell' anno, quindi fù abbastanza liberatorio dipingere in maglietta a fine dicembre...

La situazione nella metro di Roma era da paura, tutti i treni della linea B stavano ricevendo già il loro primo strato di pezzi e il buffaggio era minimo. Sedersi in stazione a guardare i treni era qualcosa da non perdere. Era stato così ad Amsterdam 4 anni prima... era cominciato tutto nel 1989 e dal 1990 o 1991 i treni cominciarono ad essere buffati sempre meno fino a fermarsi del tutto. Era emozionante vedere un sistema di metro che si stava riempiendo completamente. Mi ricordo quando era successo ad Amsterdam, e non potevo crederci che ora stava succedendo un' altra volta... treni coperti di graffiti... non ero l'unico straniero in missione quella settimana, infatti per coincidenza arrivò anche Milk. Cominciammo subito quella stessa notte colpendo due depositi. Dipingemmo un end to end colorato con Nico (Bas), Milk, Bam5, e Clint sul vagone dopo. Nell' altro deposito dipingemmo dei pezzi argento...

End to End Bam5, Milk, e Zedz dipinto la notte di Capodanno 95/96. Questo vagone della metro B ha girato almeno fino al 2000, invecchiando notevolmente e riempiendosi di innumerevoli firme e throwup. "An MT2 TFP INC Production!"

Il secondo end to end colorato lo abbiamo dipinto a Capodanno '95-'96 esattamente a mezzanotte... Personalmente amo imprimere nella memoria momenti speciali andando a dipingere, è una cosa a cui tengo molto. Oltre ovviamente alle impressioni personali quando visiti un posto per la prima volta, che io considero la parte migliore dell' andare a dipingere. Scavalcare una rete per la prima volta, camminare sulla ferrovia in equilibrio sulle traversine e sui binari, cercando di fare meno rumore possibile sui sassi del layup, e facendoti largo fra cespugli, zone di carico e scarico, e giardini delle case mi dà un bel senso di consapevolezza. Roma era piena di tutto questo, e sono ritornato con un sacco di bei ricordi. Dipingere treni era il massimo ma anche conoscere i writers locali ed andare a dipingere da solo, esplorando di notte... Sono stato a Roma un altro paio di volte ed ho avuto l'occasione di dipingere ma non ho più colpito la metro...anche se non credo potesse andarmi meglio di così.

SHOCK!

Quando dalla notte al giorno apparse a Piramide questa parete, mezza Roma non poteva credere ai propri occhi...Sento TFP da New York e Stand MT2 causarono un grave shock anafilattico a migliaia di pendolari Romani!


When this painted wall appeared overnight at Piramide station on the B-line, nobody in Rome could believe their eyes...Sento TFP from New York and Stand MT2 caused a major anaphylactic shock in thousands of Roman commuters!

Bam5 1995-2000

Ecco un pannello Bam Five di Stand aka Adam aka Tyson aka Soul aka ma quanti aka c'hai aka? Sotto si legge "95 niggaz" con dedica a Kraze, Dre e Shoe di Amsterdam. Nel '96 passò Math, anche lui di Amsterdam, lasciando il suo autografo sul finestrino. Nel frattempo anche Teach e Fume DDS da Londra fecero visita aggiungendo i loro stili al grande libro di firme che era la metro di Roma negli anni '90. Infine potete vedere lo stato in cui versava questo vagone verso la fine del millennio!

Here’s a Bam Five piece from Stand aka Adam aka Tyson aka Soul aka how many aka’s have you got aka? underneath you can read “95 niggaz” with dedication to Kraze, Dre and Shoe from Amsterdam. Math, also from Amsterdam, walked by in '96 and decided to leave his autograph on the window. In the meantime Fume and Teach DDS from London happened to drop by adding their styles to the great book of signatures that was the Rome subway in the 90′s. Finally you can see what this car looked like by the end of the millennium!

Hey hey pesante...

Questo deve essere stato uno dei miei vagoni preferiti del 1996...

Grazie al crew Finlandese CSK che ci ha fornito un ottimo sfondo per la nostra vendetta (avevano crossato un pezzo mio col loro wholecar...).

Era stato dipinto e dedicato a MAKO dopo la sua scomparsa, un writer dei primi anni '90.

Wholecar Honet-Tyson sulla metro B in tutta la sua gloria! Quella sera c'era anche Opak che s'è fatto un wholecar Soleil argento, oltre a due wholecar One e Jon oro.

Stand "Mike" Tyson ha inflitto un bel colpo al trasporto pubblico con questo destro in faccia, e Honet ha ricordato a migliaia di pendolari mattinieri che andavano a lavoro che la proprietà privata dei mezzi di produzione è la causa primaria dell' esistenza delle classi sociali e delle disuguaglianze, e che una rivoluzione proletaria è l'unica soluzione se il genere umano vuole svilupparsi oltre. Mmm...ma il Vandalismo della proprietà privata che c'ha a che fare col Marxismo?

Honet and Tyson fullcolor wholecar on the B-line in all its glory! Opak was there too and did a silver Soleil wholecar, plus two One and Jon gold wholecars got done that night as well. Stand “Mike” Tyson dealt quite a blow to public transport with this one, and Honet reminded thousands of early-morning travellers going to work that private ownership of the means of production is the prime cause for the existence of social classes and inequality, and that a proletarian revolution is the only solution if humankind is to develop any further. Hmm, does Vandalism have anything to do with Marxism?

10 anni dopo

Stand Fume Latte(Milk) dipinti nel 1994. Qualche anno dopo buffarono le porte al Fume e Stand, ma ciò non ha impedito che continuassero a mostrare i loro colori al pubblico...Nel 2004 stavano ancora rimbalzando avanti ed indietro da Anagnina attraverso il centro storico e fino a Battistini. Sto cazzo di vagone ha girato dipinto per dieci anni!!! Posso immaginarmi quanti turisti tedeschi sono venuti nella città eterna a conoscere la storia e cultura antica Romana e invece si sono trovati di fronte dei graffiti moderni di due tedeschi come loro?!

10 years later

Stand Fume Latte(by Milk) panels painted in 1994. Few years later the Fume and Stand got one of their doors buffed, but that didn’t keep them from running and showing the public their fill-ins…nope! In 2004 they were still bouncing back’n'forth across the city from Anagnina, through rome’s historic center and all the way to Battistini. This damn car ran painted for ten years!!! I wonder how many thousands of German tourists came to the Eternal City to check out ancient Roman history and culture and instead were confronted by modern graffiti of two Germans like themselves?! Fumes are generally bad for your health while Milk is usually good for you. I guess it takes two Germans to Stand the test of time!
